Dipset’s Jim Jones has confirmed his new Roc Nation deal is real-99. The hip-hop veteran has provided some more insight on why he decided to join forces with one-time rival Jay Z.

In a new press release, Jimmy spoke on putting his trust in Young Hov’s company to handle his career.

“The fact that people are ready to forget the past and help me move fwd to the next step of my career is very inspiring,” said Jim Jones. “As you get older you realize that most of your peers are either dead or in jail. The fact that we can move passed the BS is a testimony of how much we have grown.” (The Legion Media Group)

Earlier in the day, details surfaced on Jimmy’s headline-generating power move.

Sources close to the “We Fly High” rapper tell us he signed Tuesday with Jay Z and his lieutenants, OG and Ty Ty, to manage all facets of Jim’s brand … music, fashion, acting and more. Our sources say Jim decided to end the feud with Hova to show other rappers it’s possible to cut through the drama, and just make smart business decisions. Pretty amazing truce, considering they’ve been at each other since JJ sided with Cam’ron over Jay in the 2004 break up of Roc-A-Fella Records. (TMZ)
