R&B singer Jeremih kicked off being 28-years-old on a rough note this week after being arrested on his birthday.

According to reports, Jeremih found himself in handcuffs heading into the weekend.

R&B star Jeremih rang in his birthday by singing the DUI blues — he got arrested early Friday morning in the Valley … TMZ has learned. The “Don’t Tell ‘Em” singer was pulled over by California Highway Patrol around 2:15 AM and booked for misdemeanor DUI. Jeremih turned 28 on Friday … so, we’re guessing he was out celebrating. He ended up spending the rest of the night behind bars. Bail was set at $15k, and he was released around 11 AM. (TMZ)

Back in December, Jeremih hopped onto Twitter to address a publicized plane scuffle.

According to reports, the arrest stemmed from Jeremih and his entourage arriving late for a flight and trying to bust into the plane’s closed door.

Jeremih and a friend somehow pried open the jetway door and at least one of the wayward guys scurried through. Here’s the thing. That’s illegal. So Jeremih and his friend were yanked off the plane, arrested and charged with obstruction and disorderly conduct. The guy who tried sneaking onto the plane was charged with defiant trespass. (TMZ)

Additional reports claimed Jeremih was headed toward Arizona.

A Port Authority spokesman said Friday night that Jeremy Felton, 27, and a group that was traveling with him attempted to board a US Air flight to Phoenix about 1:35 p.m. Jeremy Felton is the “Birthday Sex” singer’s given name. (NJ)

Jeremih and his crew were eventually released following the arrest.

According to Port Authority police, a member of Jeremih Felton’s entourage, who was already on the U.S. Airways flight to Phoenix, opened the closed jet way door to allow the singer and another man onto the plane. The men were being held by Port Authority police Friday evening, but were expected to be released barring any outstanding warrants. (NBC New York)
