Atlanta rapper Jeezy has finally come forward to shed details on what went down last month when he found himself in handcuffs and locked up on a felony charge.

Despite the seriousness, Jeezy proclaimed his innocence in a public interview Tuesday (September 2).

“I’m just such a real person. I just feel like I couldn’t leave them in there. When I stepped in the door, I had bailsmen right there to get me out. I just made it clear that when I leave, we leaving together. Point blank, period,” Jeezy explained in an interview. “When this is all said and done, we’ll be on top. Trust me. I’m 100 percent confident that it won’t be nothing else for me and my team.” (“The Breakfast Club”)

We’re told Jeezy is one of 6 people who’ve been charged with possessing the assault rifle … a felony charge. All of the suspects were on the rapper’s tour bus when cops found the weapon, and our sources say they all got charged because no one copped to owning it. We broke the story … cops searched the bus while investigating the deadly shooting at Wiz Khalifa and Jeezy’s concert last Friday. Two of Jeezy’s entourage members are already convicted felons … so they got 2 additional charges. (TMZ)

Reports claimed law enforcement had gone after Jeezy for possessing an assault rifle.

We’re told Irvine PD executed a search warrant on the rapper’s tour bus Sunday at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in connection with the shooting in Mountain View, CA … where a man died after being shot 5 times. Jeezy is on tour with Wiz … and law enforcement sources tell us during the search cops found an assault rifle they believe belongs to Jeezy. Several members of Jeezy’s entourage were also arrested for gun possession. Jeezy’s being held on $1,000,000 bail — and he’s still in custody. (TMZ)
