Major retailer JC Penney has joined in on the craze surrounding Young Money star Drake‘s infectious “Hotline Bling” this week.
Penney shouted out Drizzy’s hit track on Twitter a couple days ago.
It's never too late. You can call us on our cell phone, @Drake. 1-800-JCPBLING. https://t.co/3yyF2mGuO1

Drizzy’s new music video has sparked huge sales for Moncler jackets.
Domenico Galluccio, a Moncler spokesman, told VF.com that on Tuesday, its Web site sold more than double the number of jackets Drake wore than it typically does on a regular day. “We had a great result on the e-commerce sale of the Maya model,” he said. The Maya retails for $1,150. (Vanity Fair)
In a previously unreleased The FADER cover story, Drizzy detailed the song’s origin.
“You know, like in Jamaica, you’ll have a riddim and it’s like, everyone has to do a song on that. Imagine that in rap, or imagine that in R&B. Imagine if we got one beat and every single person — me, this guy, this guy, all these guys — had to do a song on that one beat. So sometimes I’ll pick a beat that’s a bit, like, sunnier, I guess is the word you used, than usual, and I just try my hand at it. And that’s kind of what ‘Hotline Bling’ was. And I loved it. It’s cool. I’ve been excited by that sort of creative process.” (The FADER)
Drake’s “Hotline Bling” music video premiered via Apple Music a few nights ago.
The opening scene features some ladies—clad in pink shirts—working the hotline at a call center. Then it switches over to Drizzy, who shows just how suave he can be with his moves. He does the cha cha against a white box and on a staircase, while decked out in turtlenecks and Timberlands. He is joined by his sexy co-stars, who flaunt their curvy assets while dancing in yoga pants. (Rap-Up)
