Music mogul JAY-Z‘s 2018 is already looking bright af. The hip-hop veteran is reportedly set to receive a 2018 Grammy Salute to Industry Icons Award for his music biz contributions.

According to reports, Young Hov’s big moment will go down January 27 at the Sheraton New York Times Square and be presented by music icon Clive Davis and the Recording Academy.

In a press release Tuesday, Recording Academy boss Neil Portnow touted Jay’s embodiment of “the spirit of New York City” and his groundbreaking, versatile career. “We are absolutely thrilled and delighted to honor JAY-Z with this year’s GRAMMY Salute to Industry Icons Award,” Portnow said. “His contributions as an industry trailblazer and music visionary only begin to touch on the tremendous impact he’s made both in entertainment and beyond.” (Complex)

Outside of his career successes, JAY-Z recently provided insight on naming his and Beyoncé’s twins Rumi and Sir Carter.

“Rumi is our favorite poet, so it was for our daughter,” the “Smile” rapper, 47, said during the second part of his interview with Rap Radar podcast hosts Elliot Wilson and Brian “B.Dot” Miller, which was released on Friday, August 25. “And then Sir was, like, man, come out the gate. He carries himself like that. He just came out, like, Sir.” (Us Weekly)

In mid-July, rap star Nicki Minaj reacted to Bey’s headline-generating twins pic.

Earlier this year, Bad Boy Records CEO Diddy talked about giving JAY some parenting advice.

“Jay’s usually the one that gives me counsel, so I was so happy to give him counsel on this. The thing that I said is that you really have to be prepared for double the love. … You’re used to getting love from one child, but when you get this incredible love from two kids and they’re twins, it’s truly a blessing and may God bless him and Beyoncé and the family and everybody out there that has kids—period. That’s what really runs our lives, but to have twins is double the fun.” (“Late Night With Seth Meyers”)
