Rap mogul Jay Z, Solange, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and Tina Knowles all united as a family a week after leaked elevator fight footage suggested turmoil amongst the relatives. #FamilyTies
The foursome all hooked up for a photo moment in New Orleans this week.
Photos posted on Beyonce’s website Monday show the smiling siblings hanging out in New Orleans with their family. The pictures seem to illustrate that the “Crazy in Love” singer wants everyone to know that she and her younger sister have put the past behind them, after footage of a clash between Beyonce’s husband Jay Z and Solange at a Met Gala after-party was leaked earlier this month. Prior to the new photo, a shot of Bey and Solange reunited surfaced over the weekend.
She posted a picture on her Instagram account to prove there is no beef between her and sister Solange Knowles after her Met Gala bust up with her husband last week. Now TMZ reports that they were also joined by Jay Z for the day out, and even spent two hours over lunch together chatting. Beyonce, 32, posted an image to Instagram on Saturday of her posing with younger sister Solange, 27, in New Orleans, Louisiana. (Daily Mail UK)
In a statement released to the media last week, the Carter-Knowles emphasized they were still a tight-knit family despite the fight drama.
“As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.” (Statement)
They also denied speculation of Solange being under the influence of alchohol.
“The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false. At the end of the day families have problems and we’re no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We’ve put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same.” (Statement)
