The event is scheduled to take place at the end of September.

Alicia Keys, Jay-Z and Sade Adu will join musical forces later this year for charity. Keys has recruited Jay-Z and Sade to perform at her charity’s annual Black Ball on Sept. 30 at New York’s Hammerstein Ball. Keys will also hit the stage. The charity didn’t know whether Sade’s band would accompany her to the ball. The 51-year-old singer and her group won a Grammy for their song, “Lovers Rock,” which was released in 2000. Keys recently confirmed the news.

“Sade? Jay-Z? Both icons and both major influences of mine,” Keys said in a statement Wednesday. “I am overwhelmed by their generosity in helping us continue the tradition of making the Black Ball the best fundraiser in NYC. There are more surprises coming up! Stay tuned!” (Statement)

Last year’s event received support from Swizz Beatz and Mary J. Blige.

Last year’s Black Ball in New York drew 1,000 guests, raised more than $2 million and was co-hosted by Keys, “Top Chef” host Padma Lakshmi and supermodel and entrepreneur Iman. The fundraiser was also held at Hammerstein Ballroom and honored former President Bill Clinton, Virgin boss Sir Richard Branson and Senegalese legend Youssou N’Dour for their work fighting poverty and HIV/AIDS. Keys, N’Dour, John Mayer and Coldplay’s Chris Martin performed. A range of celebs, such as Halle Berry, Mary J. Blige, Swizz Beatz, Nick Cannon, David Bowie, Spike Lee and Usher, came out to support the cause. (MTV)

Keys was recently spotted in South Africa blessing her unborn child with fiancee Swizz Beatz.

“We were doing an event for Bobbi Bear under a special tree where a lot of kids who have been abused come to get special healing to have positive energy in their lives,” Swizz said. “It turned into this ceremony that I didn’t know about. I felt like I was on Punk’d or something! But, yes we had a special blessing [for our child].” (PEOPLE)
