In a new “Rap Radar” TIDAL interview, Young Hov keeps it 100 on their fallout.
“You got hurt, because this guy was talking about you on a stage,” JAY-Z said referencing West’s infamous Sacramento concert rant last year. “But what really hurt me, you can’t bring my kid or my wife into it. … We’ve gotten past bigger issues, but you brought my family into it, now it’s a problem with me.” (People)
Jigga also says he believes Kanye is aware of his wrongdoing.
“You know it’s a problem because me and him would have been talked about it, been resolved our issues. And he knows crossed the line. He knows. And I know he knows. ‘Cause we’ve never let this much space go between one of our disagreements and we’ve had many. That’s part of who we are.” (People)
Last month, rap veteran 2 Chainz weighed-in on longtime pal Kanye’s feelings toward JAY.
“Yeah, JAY-Z came up in that. I knew that when I was going over there [to see Kanye]. I was definitely going to talk about JAY all day. But, for the most part, bruh was like, ‘We’re still brothers,’ and stuff like that. He had a couple things that was probably personal that he’d want me to keep but we talked about the music, climate right now. L.A. Reid was over there. For me, it was going through all the pink Trap House pics.” (“Streetz Is Watchin 45”)
Recent reports suggested Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian could play a role in his JAY relationship.
We’re told the feud stems from West “forcing [his wife] Kim Kardashian” on the Carters. “[Kanye’s] rant was really about Kim and Beyoncé not being BFFs. Kanye is frustrated that his wife does not have a better relationship with Beyoncé. He wanted to put that pressure on Jay. It’s like, ‘We’re cool and we do business together, and now our wives should be friends?’” (Page Six)
