Music mogul Jay Z‘s streak of remaining relevant in hip-hop continues as new reports claim his renowned 40/40 Club will team up with TIME for a new digital video program.

According to reports, Young Hov’s New York spot will be home to a new show called “40/40 Live.”

40/40 Live: JAY Z’s The 40/40 Club in Manhattan is the setting for this exciting new talk show. Produced in collaboration with JAY Z’s Life+Times and hosted by WNBA point guard Skylar Diggins, 40/40 Live blends the worlds of hip hop and sports celebrity to provide a fresh and unfiltered conversation around sports, fame, music and more. With the energy of this luxury sports bar as a backdrop and the rising talent of Skylar and her celebrity guests, 40/40 Live promises to be edgy, unpredictable and compelling. (Market Watch)

Last fall, police investigated a possible bomb found in a phone booth outside of the sports bar.

The NYPD’s Bomb Squad was dispatched to the Flatiron District Tuesday morning after a bizarre object that looked like an explosive was found in a phone booth outside a restaurant owned by rapper Jay Z, officials said. The device, described by police sources as “a flashing light with wires attached to two pieces of wood” was found in a booth outside the 40/40 Club on W. 25th St. and Broadway just after 7 a.m. (NY Daily News)

Police were forced to keep pedestrians away from the area.

Bomb Squad investigators rushed to the scene and x-rayed the phone booth. The investigation was continuing Tuesday morning. Traffic was allowed to continue, but onlookers and pedestrians were ordered away from the area, witnesses said. (NY Daily News)

The popular sports bar’s New Jersey location shut down in October 2012.

Atlantic City’s 40/40 Club, co-owned by hip-hop star Jay Z, has closed. The Press of Atlantic City reported the $4 million club actually shut down in October when its lease expired. Club spokesman Ron Berkowitz told the newspaper the club has not operated since Superstorm Sandy flooded it and tore a hole in the roof, right around when its lease ended. Since it opened in October 2005, the club hosted stars including Beyonce, rapper Lil’ Wayne, and rapper and current “American Idol” judge Nicki Minaj, in addition to numerous sports celebrities.
