Music mogul JAY-Z has fans scratching their heads. The hip-hop icon pulled through this past Sunday to attend a huge NFL game amid speculation of Young Hov boycotting the league.

A pic has surfaced of Jigga hanging out in California to check out the Los Angeles Rams take on the Seattle Seahawks.

Hova — one of the biggest critics of the league’s treatment of Colin Kaepernick — took in the Rams vs. Seahawks game from the sidelines over the weekend, which has some fans confused. If you remember, Jay famously turned down performing at the Super Bowl halftime show on behalf of Kaep, then boasted about dissing the league on his song, “Apes**t.” The video featured people kneeling during Jay’s verse, so it’s obvious his stance was about Kaepernick, who still doesn’t have an NFL job. Recently, JAY’s longtime pal Jermaine “JD” Dupri defended working to promote the NFL’s Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta.

“I mean, for me, this don’t have nothing to do with football. This has something to do with people coming to my city and, um, leaving with a mindset that Atlanta was the best city to have a Super Bowl in. That’s what made my decision. It’s really not about the game.”

Last month, comedian Amy Schumer shared her frustrations toward the NFL and questioned why more white players didn’t kneel during the national anthem.

Friday thought. I wonder why more white players aren’t kneeling. Once you witness the truly deep inequality and endless racism people of color face in our country, not to mention the police brutality and murders. Why not kneel next to your brothers? Otherwise how are you not complicit? I think it would be cool if @maroon5 backed out of super bowl like @badgalriri Did. I personally told my reps I wouldn’t do a Super Bowl commercial this year. I know it must sound like a privilege ass sacrifice but it’s all i got. Hitting the nfl with the advertisers is the only way to really hurt them. I know opposing the nfl is like opposing the nra. Very tough, but don’t you want to be proud of how you’re living? Stand up for your brothers and sisters of color. And the hottest thing a guy can do is get down on one knee. Not to propose but to reject the treatment of his teammates by this country. Anyone who says its disrespectful to our military please read up on the fact that a lot of veterans are proud of what @kaepernick7 is doing and fully support him. What are your thoughts?

The same week, reports emerged about R&B superstar Rihanna backing out of performing at Super Bowl LIII in support of ex-NFL player and Black Lives Matter activist Colin Kaepernick.

“The NFL and CBS really wanted Rihanna to be next year’s performer in Atlanta,” the insider reveals. “They offered it to her, but she said no because of the kneeling controversy. She doesn’t agree with the NFL’s stance.” Kaepernick, who once admitted to having a crush on Rihanna, was the first NFL player to kneel during the national anthem in protest of police brutality and racial inequality.
