Music mogul JAY-Z made sure to salute late collaborator Chester Bennington at the annual V Festival. Young Hov hit the stage this past weekend and remembered the Linkin Park group member.
New footage has emerged of Young Hov performing their past “Numb/Encore” collabo at the England festival.
Jay-Z and Linkin Park will, of course, be forever intertwined because of their collaborative 2004 Collision Course mash-up EP. Last night, at his first show since Chester Bennington’s death last month, Jay-Z paid tribute to his late collaborator by performing “Numb/Encore” at the V Festival in Staffordshire, England. He also performed some 4:44 tracks live for the very first time, including “Kill Jay Z,” “The Story Of O.J.,” “Family Feud,” and “Smile.” (Stereo Gum)
In July, rap star Nicki Minaj remembered Chester’s life on social media.
The same week, Rihanna, Pharrell, Young Buck, Machine Gun Kelly and more musicians remembered Chester’s life.

Last month, news went viral about Bennington’s death.
Linkin Park bandmate Mike Shinoda tweeted “shocked and heartbroken, but it’s true. An official statement will come out as soon as we have one.” Bennington struggled with drug and alcohol addictions at various times during his life. He spoke openly about both, as well as about being molested by an older man when he was a child. (Billboard)
