JAY-Z’s The Harder They Fall album has been receiving great reviews since the new year. It has made The Oscars Shortlist for Best Original Song and received a key nomination from The Society of Composers & Lyricists.
The project has been nominated yet again, this time for the 53rd NAACP Image Awards. The hard-hitting album has been nominated for the Outstanding Soundtrack/Compilation Album.
The movie, which is on Netflix, was nominated in eight other categories:
- Outstanding Motion Picture
- Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture
- Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture
- Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture
- Outstanding Ensemble Cast in a Motion Picture
- Outstanding Breakthrough Creative
- Outstanding Directing in a Motion Picture
- Outstanding Writing in a Motion Picture.
The album continues to shine from a visual and audio standpoint and is steadily making progress. It looks like JAY-Z is a shoo-in for the Oscars and headed for a potential head-to-head with his wife, Beyonce.
