Rap mogul Jay-Z penned a dedication track to his six-month old Blue Ivy Carter on "Glory" earlier this year and is now back to boast about her again on Rick Ross and Dr. Dre's new "3 Kings" anthem.

The track premiered late Thursday (July 19) night, just weeks before Ricky Rozay’s God Forgives, I Don’t album hits store shelves.

The song opens with Dre, who raps, “You should listen to this beat through my headphones,” a reference to his ubiquitous high-end cans. He’s not the only rapper with something to brag about: “We should listen to this track in my Maybach,” Ross adds, nodding toward his label of the same name as well as his car collection. Jay-Z turns to the birth of his daughter, Blue Ivy, to chronicle his riches: “Ni**as couldn’t f*** with my daughter’s room/ni**as couldn’t walk in my daughter’s socks,” he raps. (Billboard)

This week, Ross explained how the star-studded track came into existence.

“I actually spoke with D.O.C. from the West Coast and D.O.C. told me Dre was a huge fan,” Ross said in an intervew. “I’ve been a fan of big homie’s and I had been expressing that openly for while. … I got on the phone with Dre, he kept his word, he came down to Miami. … When he walked into the studio for the first time, I was just so excited. We knocked out five songs that first night. I feel we made some incredible music.” (“Funkmaster Flex Show”)

Jay’s wife Beyonce Knowles-Carter showed off Blue Ivy this week in New York.

When she’s not performing or watching Hov watch The Throne in Europe, Blue Ivy has been Beyoncé’s go-to accessory for trips around New York City this spring and summer, often shielding her first born from the invasive lenses of the paparazzi with a variety of colorful scarves, blankets, and shawls. Beyoncé was spotted leaving department store Bergdorf Goodman’s in Manhattan earlier on Wednesday, once again with her shopping partner in tow. Plenty of photographers captured mom and daughter leaving the store, with Bey’s newly braided hair receiving most of the attention as Blue’s face was held ever so close to her chest, but the camera of one bold/potentially sketchy fan site is responsible for getting the money shot: a clear image of B & B inside the store, revealing the six-month-old’s full head of hair and extremely pinchable cheeks to the masses–we dare you not to try and squeeze them through your screen. It’s everything we’ve hoped for and more! (Pop Dust)

After penning “Glory,” Hov later envisioned his daughter reaching the teenage years.

“I imagine I’ll take things I learned from my mom and things I’ve learned from raising my nephews and apply that,” the rapper said in an interview for Oprah’s Master Class: Special Edition. “Then at the end of the day, I just know I’ll probably have the worst-spoiled little kid ever,” he admitted. Jay-Z went on to say that even if he does spoil Blue Ivy, she will probably resent him once she is a teenager. “Everyone imagines they’ll be a great dad until their [kids are] teenagers,” he said. “[Then they say], ‘Get away from me, dad. You’re embarrassing me’.” (Digital Spy)
