R&B veteran Janet Jackson has come forward to address widespread speculation and rumors about having cancer this week.
Jackson took to her Twitter page to put an end to the cancer scare gossip Wednesday (January 6) night.
Last month, cancer speculation developed after Jackson nixed a tour on Christmas Eve.
She wrote at the time that “there will be no further comment”. Gossip website Radar Online then published a report on Tuesday, quoting an anonymous source saying that “doctors found a growth on Janet’s vocal cords”. The article made inferences to throat cancer, and included speculation about what a tumour could mean for Jackson’s health and career. (The Guardian)
Jackson’s tour plans will start back up later this year.
Extra reported on Wednesday that the tour will resume in late March. According to the outlet, doctors have cleared the singer to tour in Europe at that time. (Us Weekly)
