Check out these additional details right here…
Despite statements against him, Roney had maintained his innocence nearly two decades later.
Eyewitness statements and identifications led to Roney’s arrest and subsequent charges, according to a statement from the governor’s office. Two other men were convicted of second-degree murder in the case. Roney – a Philadelphia man who before his arrest was a fairly well-known local rapper known as “Cool C” – has maintained he’s innocent. (Philly)
The rap veteran’s claim to fame dates back to the 1980’s.
In the late 80s, Christopher Roney aka Cool C had a hit record called “The Glamourous Life”, a recording contract with Atlantic Records, and a crew named C.E.B.(Countin’ Endless Bank), but that was then. (The Source)
He isn’t a legend. In philly we knew who he was , and he had a nice crew called the hill top hustlers. He’s far from a legend in hip-hop, I wouldn’t even call him a philly hip hop legend. As far as his fate, I don’t believe in the death penalty, but he killed someone in cold blood. Cop or no cop the woman didn’t deserve to die. His one song was “Glamorous Life”.

Compared to the Hip Hop standards from nowadays he is a Hip Hop legend. Back in them.days you didn’t had IceJFish, Rick Ross and Chief Keef.
It’s sounds fucked up but dude actually did what most rappers just talk about in their music.
For real. Anybody who made it back then and paved the way is some sort of a legend.
I just read an article that said he got a stay of execution.
Is about time
