New York rapper Ja Rule can't co-sign everything Nike drops. The hip-hop veteran has fired off a major shot at the Just Do It brand for its new Air Force 1 slingback kicks.
On Sunday, Rule went in-in on Nike for its newest creation and told the iconic brand to go back to the drawing board.
According to reports, the kicks are currently available and go for just under $100.
Nike’s Air Force 1 continues to see renewed interpretations of its classic silhouette, recently embodying a bold tie-dye design to a collaboration with G-Dragon’s PEACEMINUSONE. Now the Swoosh takes the revamp one step further by replacing the heel with an elastic strap, creating a sandal hybrid that looks similar to Crocs. The Air Force 1 VTF comes in a sleek black colorway with gold and metallic details around the logo, branding and sole. Maintaining elements of its time-honored form, the footwear features smooth leather along the upper and retains the design of its original ‘82 sole unit with cushioning Air Sole technology. Despite having appeal across all ages, the sneakers are aimed at kids.
