Former Murder Inc. rapper Ja Rule recently dished on his personal top five favorite diss tracks of all time and named Young Money star Drake’s “Back 2 Back” a main contender.

In Rule’s opinion, Drizzy’s diss song goes up there with releases from hip-hop heavyweights KRS-One, Nas, Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G.

“‘Bridge Is Over.’ ‘Ether.’ ‘Hit Em Up.’ ‘Who Shot Ya.’ I know B.I.G. said it wasn’t a diss record, I don’t give a f*ck, that was a diss record. [laughs] It wasn’t made for [2] Pac – but I don’t give a f*ck. The timing was perfect. Everybody took that as a diss record for Pac. … You know what? As my sixth man off the bench, I’m gonna throw in ‘Back 2 Back.’ [laughs] I’m gonna make it my sixth man off the bench because the impact of the record, that record is in rotation. I don’t think any other beef record was in rotation at radio – I don’t think there’s been another record that did that. Can you think of one?” (VLAD TV)

Meek went directly at Drizzy’s head on his new 4/4 EP release last Saturday (January 16) and referenced rap star girlfriend Nicki Minaj.

In addition to the tracks “FBH,” “Gave Em Hope,” and “Pray for Em,” he freestyles over Drake and Future’s “I’m the Plug” off What a Time to Be Alive. The Philly rapper takes aim at his Canadian rival once again and even references his famous line from “Back to Back.” “Was that my girl tour or the world tour? / I do not know what you p*ssy n*ggas goin’ for / This that 100k a night when you perform tour / Swimmin’ in that good p*ssy while you on tour,” raps Nicki Minaj’s boyfriend.
