Cyrus Langhorne
Roc Nation's J. Cole has unloaded some shots at hip-hop's biggest white musicians ranging from Eminem and Iggy Azalea to Justin Timberlake and Macklemore with his new "Fire Squad" track.
On the unexpected track, Cole name-drops Eminem and late music icon Elvis Presley.
“History repeats itself and that’s just how it goes / Same way that these rappers always bite each other’s flows / Same thing that my ni**a Elvis did with rock ‘n’ roll / Justin Timberlake, Eminem, and then Macklemore,” raps Cole, who appeared on the remix to Timberlake’s “TKO.” (Rap-Up)

Cole also singled out Hustle Gang‘s Iggy Azalea on the surprise record.
“While silly ni**as argue over who gon’ snatch the crown / Look around my ni**a, white people have snatched the sound / This year I’ll probably go to the awards dappered down / Watch Iggy win a Grammy as I try to crack a smile.” He’s quick to add, “I’m just playin’, but all good jokes contain true sh*t / Same rope you climb up on, they’ll hang you with.” (Rap-Up)
Last month, the Roc Nation star hopped onto his Instagram page and posted up titles to songs which could result in a new mixtape.
Cole announced some big album news across social media earlier the same month.

Em paid dues though. He started out underground. Battled. Then got a deal. Most Black rappers today didn’t do that. Em came up the traditional way. He’s not some White dude that started to rap because it was trendy.
I see where you’re coming from. He still is profiting off the culture due to skin privilege. He puts multisyllable rhymes together in a way that AZ and Big L did, it’s just the white machine is much bigger than ours numerically and financially.

Hes on record talking about killing his ex wife and his mother. no other rapper has done that and now no other rapper can because he was the first and anyone else doing it would call them an Eminem knock off. If it was solely because of that I would care a bit more. He’s a skilled MC though. An Actual MC. Not many rappers qualify for the MC label these days. Macklemore was clearly a skin benefit. His music is terrible. I told people this was coming though. The minute people let Black Eye Peas get called Rappers or a Hip Hop act it was over. On top of that we don’t even by the majority of the Genres music. It’s only natural that the Majority would start to gravitate towards those that look like them. There was also way too much Co-Signing(Who is Iggy if T.I. doesn’t Co-sign her Psuedo Black sound?). They just use Black Rappers for Credibility Now. I listen to Top 40 some days at work. You’ll hear them play Eminem songs, Macklemore Songs but if they play something like “Dark Horse” they won’t even play a edited version of Juicy J’s verse. That Sam Smith kid is using Mary J. Why? Because we give them credibility(You will only hear her version of “Stay With Me” on Black Radio). He wants what Robin Thicke and Justin have. We made Justin and Robin by giving them credibility. Remember when Pharrell said JT could be the next Marvin Gaye? JTs best Album is the one that Timbaland and Pharell produced(Also, produced Robin’s biggest hit). They aren’t taking it away. We are giving it away.
