Cole has a history of producing hit albums. His first official album, Cole World: The Sideline Story, reached the #1 spot on Billboard in its first week, also selling 218,000 copies. It was soon certified Platinum, and the status has become a common trend for him. His most recognizable album 2014 Forest Hills Drive was dropped in 2014, and has sold an astonishing 2,000,000+ copies. All 5 of J. Cole’s studio albums have reached the top spot and all besides KOD (considering it’s been out for just 2 days) have achieved Platinum status, so if his newest work of art follows suit it won’t be a surprise.
