President of Top Dawg Entertainment Punch clapped back at a Twitter user that seemed to be a little too concerned with the sex life of rapper Isaiah Rashad. Rashad was “outed” as gay back in February after a sex tape featuring the rapper was leaked online without his consent.
While Punch was tweeting about his appreciation of Jay-Z’s verse on Pusha-T’s new embrecord, “Neck & Wrist”, the Twitter user randomly replied “n*gga worried about the wrong thing… sum body tell him tweet bout how Isaiah was top dawgin a cock”.
Punch quickly responded in the same thread.
“Wait.. so you want me to be concerned about another grown man’s sex life?? Is that what you’re really interested in? As oppose to having a dialogue about music??”
The Twitter user deleted the tweet, but Punch screenshotted the receipts and reposted it saying, “Nah nigga don’t run now. Let’s talk about it…”.
Shortly after the Twitter user returned to the thread to take accountability for his distasteful tweet saying, “Smh. That was a weak ass/distasteful joke that I said earlier and I own that.” The user then showed love for the TDE team, “I got none but love and respect for Him, Punch and the whole TDE team!!! Apologiez ”.
Isaiah Rashad Outed As Gay
This is the first time that any member of the label has made a statement about the Isaiah Rashad revelation. TDE artist Isaiah Rashad was outed as gay in February after an explicit video of him leaked online.
Many fans took to social media to offer support for Isaiah because of his decision of coming out being stripped from him. One Twitter user tweeted, “I hope Isaiah Rashad is well. . As a consumer/fan of his music, he’s been very vocal in his lyrics about suicide, self-harm and his battles with depression. These things aren’t considered in outing-culture though— only the thrill of catching and/or spilling someone else tea.”.
Much love to Isaiah.
