With pop sensation Justin Bieber continuing to gain co-signs from the hip-hop community, SOHH recently hit up former Ruff Ryders artist Drag-On to get his take on the young star.

Admitting he is up on Bieber, Drag said he would not hesistate if given the opportunity to exchange 16 bars with “Shawty Mane”.

“Yeah, h*ll yeah,” Drag told SOHH when asked if he would collaborate with Justin Bieber. “H*ll yeah, dog. I co-sign Justin Bieber. He’s a little young kid doing his thing. He came up off the Internet doing nothing. You know what I’m saying? I respect it. Word up. He’s young. I wish that dude the best. I’d jump on a song with Justin Bieber tonight, yo!” (SOHH)

Last week, rapper Asher Roth spoke on Bieber’s appreciation for hip-hop.

“Bieber is my guy, like, I think people really think I’m joking or I’m lying when I say we legitimately used to babysit him,” Roth revealed in an interview. “Not on some young kid stuff but we would look out for him and look after him. When I was in Atlanta, I had moved to Atlanta, Bieber moves down the street from me and he was like 12, 13 at the time. We used to just come over and hang out. We used to play Rock Band and chill. I have Bieber rapping on the [2008 Greenhouse Effect mixtape] ‘Cannon’ [song]. … You cannot not be happy for an over successful fun loving good kid. He’s a really, really awesome dude…He’s a hip-hop head, he really is — he loves it. I might have to ghostwrite for him but other than that, he’s a good dude. I’m really excited to see what he does in the future.” (XXL Mag)

G-Unit’s Lloyd Banks previously said he would hop on a track with Bieber.

“I would definitely do a record with Justin Bieber. I think early on in my career things were a little different. Now, the fact of the matter is the youth determine which way music is going to go,” explains Banks. “When you become influential enough to control one market, I think it’s time to cross-market.” (VIBE)

After Bieber released his “Speaking In Tungs” freestyle last fall under the rap alias “Shawty Mane”, Dipset affiliate Vado gave the singer his co-sign.

“I was shocked! He killed it! He sounded like [Notorious] B.I.G.,” Vado said in an interview. “When I seen it on Twitter, I didn’t believe it. We need to keep his verse for the remix! We might finish the remix this weekend, and let Justin go first. I’m definitely going to contact him.” (New York Daily News)
