I have T.I. on my song “Me Nuh Play” from “Illegal Immigrant” and it’s so crazy how that song came together.
That song came about from T.I. pulling up on me at the studio on morning. He followed me and he just wanted to see how I was doing and he blessed me with a verse.
I was so humble. For a guy who has so much success, he was so humble. He came into the studio without his engineer and he came into the booth to rap his verse until he was done.
It meant the f*cking world to me. Nobody just does that. This guy has platinum album after platinum album after platinum album. Who the f*ck am I for him to be in the same f*cking room?
I’m down with Hustle Gang and affiliated with them but I’m not signed to Hustle Gang or this guy. A T.I. feature probably costs $50,000 or more and he did it for free and that means the world to me.
