Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West has addressed recent comments made by President Barack Obama about not having his phone number in his contacts list.
Despite President Obama’s remarks, Kanye told paparazzi this week he has received a presidential call in the past.
“I love Obama. He called our house before,” Kanye told paps at Los Angeles International Airport. “He knows that. Don’t try to pit us against each other. Come on bro, don’t pit us against each other. I love Obama.” (TMZ)

A few days ago, President Obama appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and talked about Kanye.
. “He was very soft-spoken, very gracious. He was a young guy, hadn’t quite come into his own,” President Obama said in an interview. “I love his music, he’s incredibly creative. I don’t think I’ve got his home number.” (“Jimmy Kimmel Live!”)
Kanye came under fire when he spoke on the struggles President Obama had gone through since being in office a few years ago.
Mr. West reportedly made the statements during an interview on New York City’s Hip Hop and R&B radio station Power 105.1 FM. The comments came to light after the Israeli daily newspaper Haaretz printed them on Friday. According to reports, Mr. West remarked during the interview: “Man, let me tell you about George Bush and oil money and Obama and no money. People want to say Obama can’t make these moves or he’s not executing. That’s because he ain’t got those connections. Black people don’t have the same level of connections as Jewish people. Black people don’t have the same connection as oil people.” (ADL)
Back in October 2013, Kanye said Kim Kardashian had more appeal to Vogue readers than the First Lady.
It’s not exactly a surprise that Kanye West is Kim Kardashian’s biggest fan. The 36-year-old musician sang his fiancée’s praises during an On Air With Ryan Seacrest radio interview on Tuesday, Oct. 29. In fact, he’s lobbying to get the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star her first Vogue cover. “There’s no way Kim Kardashian shouldn’t be on the cover of Vogue. She’s like the most intriguing woman right now. She’s got Barbara Walters calling her like everyday,” he said, noting that reality stars have often been overlooked by mainstream fashion magazines. “And collectively, we’re the most influential with clothing. No one is looking at what [Barack Obama] is wearing. Michelle Obama cannot Instagram a [bikini] pic like what my girl Instagrammed the other day.” (E! News)
