New York radio station Hot 97 caught a tough break last night. The hip-hop powerhouse accidentally referred to UGK‘s Bun B as his late rap partner Pimp C.

Bun B went to Instagram last night (June 10) to acknowledge the station’s Twitter mishap.

Close @hot97 but no cigar…thanks to @meganryte @djenuff and @oldmanebro for having us!

Shortly afterward, Hot 97 issued a public apology to Pimp C’s family and friends.

The Pimp C drama sparked a wild reaction from “The Breakfast Club” co-host Charlamagne Tha God.
