Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway found her inner Lil Wayne this week by unveiling a few rap bars live on late night talk show host Conan O'Brien's broadcast.
Hathaway’s current juggling of fame and paparazzi motivated her new rap.
Looks like Anne Hathaway’s feline empowerment is leading to some interesting experiments for the Oscar nominee. Stopping by Conan O’Brien’s couch this week, Hathaway touched on the fan-and-photographer frenzy around the Pittsburgh set of “The Dark Knight Rises.” She’s not licking her paws over it. “With all the stuff that’s going on with Batman, the paparazzi attention’s been a little intense,” she said. “So I actually wrote a rap song about it; it’s in the style of Lil Wayne.” (Los Angeles Times)
The actress proceeded to spit some bars for the live audience.
“Yo, I’ma paparazzi/I don’t play no yahtzee, I go pop pop pop pop pop,” Hathaway rapped. “My camera’s up your crotch/I tell the truth from what I see/And sell it to Perez Hilti/Don’t call me scuzzy/Making money, that’s my job…” (“Conan O’Brien”)
In May, Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow rapped Ice Cube‘s “Gangsta Gangsta” verse from Straight Outta Compton.
“[Straight Outta Compton?] It’s a classic N.W.A. album,” Paltrow told BBC host Graham Norton before being asked to rap. “You want me to [rap?] There’s one word I can’t say. OK — ‘Yo, here’s a little something about a ‘uh’ like me, never should have been let out the penitentiary/Ice Cube, I like to say that I’m a crazy motherf*cker from around the way/Since I was a youth, I smoked weed out/Now I’m the motherf*cker that you read about.’ [laughs]” (“The Graham Norton Show”)
Not only co-signed by Hathaway, Lil Wayne recently received some love courtesy of Hollywood actress/singer Jennifer Lopez.
“I was working out yesterday and I was listening to Lil Wayneand I was just like, ‘Wow. He really says some sh*t,” Lopez explained. “But I was just listening to what he was saying and I really enjoyed it. He might be one of the best out there right now. He might be the best.
