Although brief and to the point, HB applauded Fif for adding his own take to the anthem.

“We really just seen that on the ride over to this office here,” Hit-Boy told MTV News on Monday, just hours before the song dropped. “50, it sounded like he was gassin’ it, so I’m excited. We really just appreciative to be in the game, man. We been working for a long time. ‘Grindin’ My Whole Life’ ain’t just a song. We really been trying to get to it for a long time, so for people to be taking notice is a blessing.” (MTV)

Audio Push’s Pricetag also spoke on 50 taking over their catchy track.

Audio Push, who are also in HS87 and on the original track, were similarly enthused. “50, he’s still a rapper; he’s still hip-hop,” said Price, one half of the duo. “If he hears somethin’ he like, he probably just rapping on it, you feel me. Which is hard.” (MTV)

The Unit and 50 protégé Kidd Kidd‘s new “Nah, I’m Talkin ‘Bout” premiered online this week.

Da Unit is back. A day after reuniting onstage at Summer Jam, all four members of G-Unit come together on their first song in six years. 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, and Tony Yayo put aside their differences and get back to business on “Nah I’m Talking ‘Bout,” a remix to Hit-Boy and HS87’s “Grindin’ My Whole Life,” which also features Kidd Kidd. Since reuniting at last weekend’s Hot 97 Summer Jam concert, the Unit’s Lloyd Banks and Young Buck have hinted at more music releases to come.

Last night, at the after-party for the screening of the new Starz series Power, executive produced by 50 Cent, XXL put that question to all four original members of G-Unit. “We got no dates, we working,” said Young Buck. “[We] in the studio. Stay tuned.” Banks added, “Work in progress. We just put out the new freestyle today. Check it out.” (XXL Mag)
