Hip-hop legend Kurtis Blow is getting better. The iconic musician is reportedly recovering in a Los Angeles hospital after undergoing a successful heart transplant this past weekend.

While details are still slim, reports claim the hip-hop performer received a heart transplant and is already getting better. The 61-year-old New York native has previously had surgeries to repair heart arteries.

Kurtis Blow Is Still Rapping In His 60’s
In the late-1970s and early-1980s, Kurtis Blow was one of rap’s first big stars. You don’t even have to be a fan of hip-hop to know about “The Breaks” and “Basketball,” two of his most famous songs. One of the rap game’s pioneers, Kurtis is still rockin’ the mic in his 60’s. Earlier this year he dropped a song about the COVID-19 pandemic called “Keep Your Distance.”
Jeremih Checks Out Of Hospital After COVID-19 Battle
R&B singer Jeremih is seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. The popular crooner reportedly checked out of a Chicago hospital weeks after making headlines for his battle with COVID-19 and getting placed in an intensive care unit.
Jeremih tells TMZ, “First and foremost, I would like to thank God and the incredible team of doctors and nurses at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for saving my life. I will be forever grateful.” The R&B singer goes on … “I would also like to thank my family and friends for all their prayers and well wishes. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. Chance The Rapper Gives Amazing Jeremih Update
Chicago’s Chance The Rapper recently took to his social media with some fantastic breaking news. He revealed on Twitter Jeremih would be coming out of the hospital Friday and said he’s almost all better.
