Later today, various hip-hop icons are expected to come through for Prodigy’s New York City funeral.
Sources connected to the service tell us Prodigy’s family has invited an A-list of rappers who worked with Mobb Deep or came up at the same time … including Nas, Lil Kim, Big Daddy Kane, Ice-T, Naughty By Nature, Onyx. Of course, Prodigy’s partner, Havoc, will also be there. (TMZ)
Earlier this week, details surfaced surrounding P’s funeral service.
On Thursday, there will be a special funeral service for Prodigy in New York City at Frank E. Campbell, popularly known as “The Funeral Chapel.” From 2 to 5 p.m., open public visitation will be allowed for family, friends and fans hoping to send their final goodbyes to the revered star. (Billboard)
Last weekend, music mogul Master P bashed TV network BET over doing a last-minute tribute to P at its annual awards show.

I hate it when people come out of the woddwork and talk about how great you were when you are gone. Who was working with Prodigy before he passed? The brother cut a figure of a neglected artist and he is a legend. Master P is right: black folk just don’t do right by each other.
Sad too say but p is correct and on point if music is art and it is created by the artist then they should be able to get recognized for there hard work period remember pac and biggie everything comes to late master p much respect big homie. Love you prodigy of mobb deep lets get done right bet,,,
