New York rapper A$AP Ferg recently updated fans on the status between him and Atlanta's Gucci Mane months after they engaged in a brief war of words over album titles.

While the buzz has died down, Ferg claims Mane actually went up north to see him face-to-face.

“A lot of people don’t know he came up here looking for me. Really I think he was trying to get a Worldstar moment. I never spoke to that man and I don’t plan on speaking to him to tell you the truth. I don’t have no problems with nobody. At the end of the day we are all men. Let’s make money.” (“The Breakfast Club”)

Despite the speculation, Ferg said no real issues ever developed with Gucci back in mid-May.

“I mean, it never started,” Ferg said in an interview when asked if their feud was done. “I responded but it wasn’t like a Twitter beef or nothing. I just show the whole situation. It wasn’t nothing. I didn’t really have to say anything. [I took the high road.] Exactly. I played the adult in the situation. But shout-out to Gucci, he played a good part in [the movie] Spring Breakers. You know what I’m saying? I just want to see rappers come up. It’s a competitive sport. Come on, he does that to everybody when he’s about to drop a new video or an album or a mixtape. He did it to Yo Gotti last year. He came out, Waka Flocka. You know? You’ve got to expect these things from Gucci Mane. I’m still a fan of his.” (“The Urban Informer”)

In March, A$AP said the entire incident all spawned from a misunderstanding.

“I think it’s a miscommunication,” Ferg told DJ Whoo Kid when asked if they really have issues or if it is simply a misunderstanding. “I don’t know what Gucci was doing. [I’ve always had Trap Lord,] exactly. If you look at the date at the ‘Work’ video, and you see Trap Lord Productions on the front of that video, all right, then that’s it. Yeah.” (Whoolywood)

Tensions flared when Gucci hopped onto Twitter around mid-February and went at Ferg.

“ASAP whoever calling his mixtape trap lord niggas need to get off my d*ck and let they momma get on it,” Gucci tweeted February 13th. (Gucci Mane’s Twitter)

Rather than fall back, the New York native spoke up for himself and responded to Gucci’s comment.

“TRAP LOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRD ACROSS MY BELLLYYY!!! N*GGAS IS WASHED UP LOLOL,” Ferg responded.

“THERES A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GODS AND LORDS ” LORDS NEVER WORRY” tTRAP LORD” (A$AP Ferg’s Twitter)
