Thirsty Thursday. It's a hot day and it's going to take some serious liquids to quench your thirst, so why not get things going with Grand Theft Auto V still battling problems? Speaking of problems, could Slim Thug really have one if Carmelo Anthony doesn't sign with the Houston Rockets? Someone already signed and popping is Lil Wayne's daughter Reginae, but is her first release really that good? All this coming up in SOHH Whatcha Think.
1. Let The Games Begin
Is Lindsay Lohan a serious threat in a courtroom? In all fairness, she has a lot more negative things to her image than the average female celebrity, especially any 28-year-old Hollywood actress. But her issues with Grand Theft Auto V maker Rockstar aren’t slowing down. Tech Times has the latest:
Lindsay Lohan’s birthday suit, a lawsuit that was said to have been filed on the day she was born (July 2), alleges Take-Two Interactive’s record-smashing video game, Grand Theft Auto V, borrowed from her likeness and a scene from the actor’s off-screen drama.
Lohan’s suit was reportedly filed in a Manhattan court, on the day the “Mean Girls” and “Freaky Friday” star celebrated her 28th birthday. The Grand Theft Auto V character in question is supposedly a nonplayable character named “Lacey Jonas.” (Tech Times)
Haven’t we all seen characters in these video games parodying real-life people? There’s a ton of real-life references to popular culture. Is there any proof Lohan can use to say it’s her? Better yet, even if it is legit, can she win the battle? #SOHHWhatchaThink?
2. Ball Hard
Slim Thug might be one of hip-hop’s biggest sports fans. Well, he’s at least a huge supporter of anything going down in Houston. His past plea was to get Dwight Howard to play for the Rockets and, some could say, it worked. XXL Mag has the skinny:
With NBA Free Agency just starting less than 24 hours ago, teams have been working the phones in order to grab the next big superstar for their respective franchises. The Houston Rockets are working relentlessly in hopes of prying away New York Knicks star, Carmelo Anthony. Besides Dwight Howard and James Harden trying to give sound advice to Melo as to why he should leave, Houston’s very own, Slim Thug provided some insight for the top notch scorer on Twitter.
Thug tried to sell the Galleria Mall over to Carmelo and wife Lala by saying they can find whatever they want.
He also mentioned how the weather in the H-Town is better and that Melo wouldn’t have to worry about his kids dealing with the violence over in Chiraq. (XXL Mag)

3. All In The Family
Is Lil Wayne ready to really retire and let his daughter run the music biz? Not quite, but he’s definitely her biggest supporter. BET is on it:
Those precious daddy-daughter moments between Lil Wanye and his eldest, Reginae Carter at the 2014 BET Awards was extended to Weezy Wednesdays this week. Weezy F. used the webisode to announce that his baby is officially getting that young mula as a YMCMB artist, and dropped the premiere of her new video “Mind Goin’ Crazy.”
“This week is all about my daughter… shout out to all the Reginators out there,” Weezy said. “…I know y’all saw her do her thing at the awards, and she rep’d us, ya dig? I want y’all to know that she’s officially stamped as a Young Money artist… yes, Reginae Carter is a Young Money artist. And not only am I telling you that, I’m actually about to give you the first look at her first video, ‘Mind Goin’ Crazy.'”
Aside from the label deal, it seems the cash money endorsements are already rolling in for the young Carter. “This is a collaborative video with the product Hairfinity,” Weezy added. (BET)
