Reason 5: The Ending

The fifth reason is because of the legendary ending. There was absolutely no arrows pointing to any of the theories out there about Sandy having died or drowned and this was all a coma. It’s just like when we get asked, “Did you have any idea this film was going to be as successful as it has become,” and I say nobody has that sort of a crystal ball. That’s what makes it more of a blessing. If we were so cocky and sure to the universe, it wouldn’t be so special. We just had a good time, we felt we had something fun. It did get released and it wasn’t an artistic success, it certainly was a commercial success and it wasn’t until years later that it began to grow this momentum and become this cult classic it’s become. None of us had this kind of idea.
