Notorious ex-neighborhood watch worker George Zimmerman can once again resume organizing his deadly weapons arsenal as reports claim the seized possessions are no longer needed by police.
According to reports, Zimmerman’s girlfriend’s recent decision to drop domestic violence charges has allowed him to retrieve the weapons.
George Zimmerman can finally be reunited with the arsenal of guns and ammo that was recently seized from his home, since he’s no longer facing domestic violence charges … officials tell TMZ. The Seminole County Sheriff’s office confirmed … the case against Zimmerman was just dropped after his GF Samantha Scheibe backed off her story that George got violent with her back in November. And no charges, means no reason for cops to keep the guns (and chewing gum) that were seized from his home following the initial alleged incident … a cache that includes 3 handguns, a semiautomatic rifle and the shotgun that Scheibe had claimed Zimmerman used to threaten her. Buzz behind Zimmerman’s girlfriend deciding not to press charges against him heated up the Internet this week.
The decision not to pursue the case comes days after Zimmerman’s girlfriend, Samantha Scheibe, said in a court document that she didn’t want him to be charged. “Upon reviewing the recent affidavit of the Ms. Scheibe and taking into account the conflicting statements about what occurred, the failure to cooperate with the ongoing investigation, and a lack of any other corroborating evidence or witnesses, there is no reasonable likelihood of successful prosecution,” Archer said in a written statement. Zimmerman’s attorney Jayne Weintraub issued a statement on the case fading to black this week.
“On behalf of George Zimmerman, I am pleased that I was able to present credible evidence to reasonable prosecutors who took the time to listen and that justice prevailed. This demonstrates how great our system is.” (Statement)
