West Coast rapper Game’s manager is probably going to rub a lot of people the wrong way. Wack 100 has social media’s attention after sharing dicey words about the murder of 20-year-old hip-hop artist XXXTentacion.
Wack went to Instagram this week to share posts suggesting XXX’s past alleged domestic violence history overshadows his contributions as a musician.
Musician Jidenna shared mixed emotions about XXX’s death over his alleged treatment toward women.
R.I.P @xxxtentacion No one can be so self-righteous that they are happy when a youth dies. The young still have the capability to reform. God bless the kids. #xxxtentacion

For the record, I was never in support of his ways, especially his domestic abuse which I found to be horrific. But I will never demonize an individual without criticizing the society and/or circumstance in which they were raised. Especially someone under 21.

For those who are so woke that their compassion is asleep, remember this…if Malcolm X was killed at the age of 20, he would have died an abuser, a thief, an addict, and a narrow-minded depressed & violent criminal. So, I believe in change for the young.

My point here is not to equate Malcolm with XXX, but to point out that a young lost kid can evolve into something greater. I do believe kharma was at work, however, so I pray that men heed this warning and that we revere women more than any generation b4 us.

As I’m watching people make @xxxtentacion a martyr, I pray that we recognize the women enduring sexual assault & domestic abuse around the world. They are the true martyrs & heroes. While I‘ve expressed compassion for troubled youth, I salute women worldwide

Prior to his murder, XXX had a history of criminal activity including home invasion and aggravated battery charges.
November 16, 2015: XXXTentacion is charged for committing home invasion, robbery, and aggravated battery, according to court documents. Mid-July (approximately) 2016: The second incident of alleged domestic violence occurs. XXXTentation allegedly kicked, punched, tackled, and “stomped on” his ex-girlfriend, because he heard her singing another artist’s song, the testimony in Pitchfork states. He also threatened to “cut out,” her tongue, the victim said. August 9: XXXTentacion is arrested for his 2015 robbery and assault charges. He is held at Broward Regional Detention Center in Fort Lauderdale. (Vulture)
Game hopped on IG last night (June 18) and penned a reflective letter about XXX’s death.
