West Coast rapper Game enjoyed a minor legal victory after having an upcoming Chicago court appearance delayed due to his fear of violence.
According to reports, a judge has approved a request to postpone Game’s June 16 sexual assault lawsuit hearing.
He cited a massive outbreak of violence over Memorial Day weekend in the city … where about 70 people were shot and 6 died. Game thinks it’s likely there will be a bunch of revenge shootings, and fears he could be caught in the crossfire. Priscilla Rainey, who filed the suit against Game, didn’t oppose his request. The judge signed off, but hasn’t set a new date yet. (TMZ)
Last week on Instagram, Game asked for fans’ support on his way to court.
Earlier this year, Game sparked headlines over a $10 million lawsuit.
The Game’s been M.I.A. from a sexual assault case he’s facing in Illinois, and as of Monday his absence could cost him millions. As we previously reported, Priscilla Rainey sued the rapper for $10 million last summer, claiming he had sexually assaulted her on his reality show, “She’s Got Game.” Game never answered her complaint, so the judge just entered a default. Last month, Game paid homage to late hip-hop mogul 2Pac’s mother, Afeni, passing away.
