West Coast rapper Game doesn’t want Cardi B to have to watch her back. The hip-hop veteran has revealed a personal conversation he had with her over now-infamous drama she generated over a Bloods/Crips-related social media post.

This past weekend, Game dished on talking to the rap star and said they ironed things out. The Los Angeles native also said anyone upset at Cardi could rest assured she didn’t mean any disrespect toward the Crips.

“That’s dangerous sh*t but I talked to Cardi and she understands the politics of LA and she’s still who she is, that’s to be respected. But there’s a position here that has to be respected. But all in all, Cardi came through, had a good time – I didn’t help to diffuse sh*t, everybody who they are. … I like Cardi B, I like her music, I like what she stands for. She represents who I am and where I come from and everybody that’s overly tripping just needs to chill. She’s a good girl, we hollered about it, she ain’t mean nothing.” (TMZ)

A few days ago, fellow West Coast rapper Nipsey Hussle said B’s East Coast ties made her unable to fully understand the Bloods/Crips West culture.

“She’s from New York. There’s a different reality to gang banging on the East Coast than there is in L.A. This is a 30-40 year culture out here. People died in the ’80s. Uncles and homies got killed behind this thing. So there’s a different level of sensitivity. … The disrespect happens when you go public and you not in the privacy of your hood or your homies.” (Big Boy TV)

Earlier this month, reports surfaced about Cardi catching heat and gang threats over a Crip-related Instagram post.

On Monday, Cardi put up a shot of herself rocking a blue fur coat in Minneapolis. Her caption said, “I hate wearing Flue but this coat was too poppin.” It’s that word “Flue” that has her in serious hot water — it’s a way to knock Crips favorite color, blue, without using the actual word. Cardi’s publicly stated she is a Blood, so the post — which has more than a million likes — pissed off the rival Crips, who not only left angry comments … some flat-out threatened her. The rapper’s scheduled to come to L.A. for NBA All-Star festivities in about 10 days … and her new enemies know it. One comment said, “@iamcardib this will not be accepted #DONTCOMETOLA.” (TMZ)

Subsequently, Cardi has edited the pic to make it captionless and banned commenting.
