West Coast rapper Game is reportedly piecing together a new album called Blood Money La Familia that's set to hit store shelves this upcoming summer. #GameOn
According to reports, Game has teamed up with eOne for his forthcoming release.
Entertainment One Music is proud to announce a new marketing/ distribution deal with superstar The Game (Jayceon Taylor) through Blood Money La Familia/Fifth Amendment Ent./eOne Music. The new album, BLOOD MONEY LA FAMILIA, is scheduled to be released on September 16, 2014 with the first 2 singles “BIGGER THAN ME” and “OR NAH” dropping this month. The album is executive produced by long time Game associate Cash “Wack” Jones, and Stat Quo. (eOne Press Release)
Despite the perception, Game said he had not officially signed to Cash Money a few months ago.
“Right now, I’m just enjoying my free agency,” Game revealed in an interview. “I had talked to Birdman and we’re trying to figure out what it’s going to be, how it’s going to work. It definitely should work. I got a relationship with [Lil] Wayne, [Drake], Stunna, Slim, long relationship that goes back five, ten years. It’s just trying to figure out what’s best for Cash Money, what’s the best for Game at this point in his career. It’s pretty much family and that’s where I’m at, at this point. Of course nothing’s written in stone and that’s where I’m leaning.” (Civil TV)
Back in October, Game and Baby appeared to confirm the Cash Money partnership.
Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Lil Wayne have a new labelmate. The Game has officially joined the YMCMB family as the label’s newest signee. Birdman made the announcement on Twitter. “S/O 2MY@thegame Westcoast makit Official.RICHGANG.YMCMBusine$$,” tweeted the Cash Money CEO. The Game saluted his new team. “@BIRDMAN5STAR time to close the door on these n*ggas !!!! R$CHGANG,” he responded. The Compton rapper, 33, was previously signed to Interscope Records, where he released five No. 1 albums including his 2005 debut The Documentary, which was released in conjunction with G-Unit Records. Recently, Game said there was ample interest in how his next LP would be released.
“Recently, a free agent,” Game said in an interview. “I was signed to Interscope for my last five albums which, of course, are all platinum and I’ve been taking a lot of meetings and on a lot of conference calls about my next move and I just – I haven’t narrowed it down yet.” (“Larry King Now”)
