West Coast rapper Game has weighed in on the controversy from New England in light of ex-Patriots star Aaron Hernandez being charged with murder and denounced the football player's Blood gang ties.
In Game’s perspective, Hernandez has not earned stripes to be considered a real Blood.

Game was leaving Tru in Hollywood last night — with TWO giant gold chains around his neck — when we asked the rapper behind the hits, “It’s Okay (One Blood)” and “Red Nation” how he felt about the former New England Patriots star’s connection to the Bloods. “Aaron Hernandez ain’t no Blood man … n**ga killed his sister’s husband, what the f**k??” Game says there is a way for Aaron to BECOME a Blood — but it involves being “packed out” by the rapper and his crew. Coincidentally, Aaron has also denied having any gang affiliation this week.
Accused killer and ex-Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez told Bristol County correction officers examining his heavily tattooed torso for telltale gang signs that he has never been a member of any street gang, Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson told the Herald. “He talked to our gang ?investigators and said he didn’t have any involvement,” Hodgson said yesterday, adding that his gang unit is still investigating the matter. “We always take extra precautions. We don’t have any definite issues at this point, but we’re still being very cautious,” Hodgson said. (Boston Herald)
Photos and various tattoos throughout the incarcerated football player’s body have drawn speculation of his affiliation with gangs.
Before law enforcement officials can figure out where to place Aaron Hernandez in jail, they have to get a read on him. Specifically, they have to read his tattoos. “We’ll be looking at his tattoos to see if there are any symbols that affiliate with gangs,” Bristol County (Mass.) Sheriff Thomas Hodgson said, as reported by the Boston Herald. “We have to always be vigilant around security and not place him somewhere where there are rival gang members.” (Fox Sports)
Despite the negative press and Aaron’s uncertain future, his jerseys have turned into hot items on the secondary market.
As disgusted Patriots fans try and unload Aaron Hernandez memorabilia, said memorabilia has become a hot item on eBay. A store-bought Hernandez jersey sold for a whopping $287 on the auction site this weekend. Another one, purchased for $50, has seen bidding rise to $227. What role does the Patriots’ jersey swap, in which the team will allow fans with Hernandez’s No. 81 to exchange it for another jersey, have in the market? By taking Hernandez jerseys off the street, could it be driving up the prices for collectors? If Hernandez jerseys are more scarce, they’ll be worth more money. (USA Today)
