Hollywood actress Gabrielle Union recently dished out some relationship advice and revealed what fueled a short-lived break-up from NBA star fiancé Dwyane Wade.
According to the 41-year-old on-screen diva, busy schedules largely contributed to their split last year.
“When you’re debating whether to go backward or forward, you have to look at the original issue. [When Dwyane and I broke up briefly in 2013], it was because of distance and scheduling. I finished filming the show, then I flew to Vegas right away to start shooting Think Like a Man Too. I couldn’t take time off, and I missed some quality togetherness we desperately needed. Over the summer, I reassessed priorities. I’d always wanted an awesome career with back-to-back projects, but I realized I wasn’t willing to sacrifice my relationship for it. Moving forward, I decided my work schedule has to make sense for our family. Bottom line: If an issue’s a deal breaker, it’s a deal breaker. If your relationship isn’t something you’re willing to give up and you can compromise, do so.” (Glamour)
While neither Wade or Union have spoken out, pregnancy rumors started to spread online a few days ago.
The Wade Bloodline growing quickly…..allegedly. It isn’t unusual for women who deal with men who have cheated on them and have children with other women to want to have their own baby to secure their relationship long term. If Wade wanted to drop Gabrielle Union today she wouldn’t be entitled to nothing (except maybe keeping the ring), but if she had his child, that is a totally different story. It has been reported by a few places that Gabby is expecting and has stopped drinking because of it. They are also using this video of her on Jimmy Fallon as evidence (there is a little pudge there, could just be some cake she ate). (Black Sports Online)
Reports last week revealed Wade’s surprise one-month-old’s name is Xavier Zechariah Wade and his mother is 30-year-old Aja Metoyer.
11:30 AM PT — TMZ Sports has learned … Aja’s two other children were fathered by “Happy Endings” star Damon Wayans Jr. … the son of “In Living Color” legend Damon Wayans (obviously). Now, we know the kid was born in Los Angeles on Nov. 10, 2013 … just 6 weeks before Wade popped the question to Gabrielle, who he’s been dating since 2009. According to the birth certificate, Wade’s baby mama is 30-year-old Aja Metoyer. The details of their relationship are basically unknown, except the obvious fact they have a kid together. (TMZ)
After mounted pressure and speculation, D-Wade cleared the air on the baby gossip in late December.
“I’m in the public eye, so obviously that’s a part of it. It comes with the territory. But, it’s kind of … as I’ve always done my whole life … is always focus on what’s most important to me and my family, and that’s being a great father. I’ve always tried to show my importance in my kids’ lives and it doesn’t change now. So, me and my lady and my family have continued to move forward and I think that’s evident with the ring and the proposal that I gave her with our lives. But, yeah, I had a time a part in our break, in our pain and our hurt, a blessing came out of it in my life, having a son that was born healthy. So, I’m moving on.” (Miami Herald)
