[SOHH highlights a hot record every week and offers a behind-the-scenes look at the smash in Singled Out. After Rotimi talked about his “Lotto” anthem, G-Unit’s Kidd Kidd breaks down his new Lil Wayne-assisted “Ejected” hit.]

I’ve been knowing [Lil] Wayne since 2002, 2003. We always just had a relationship.

We always hollered at each other. He’d holler at me, I’d holler at him. We did a lot of mixtapes together back in the [day]. We also had the song, “Mrs. Officer,” that was on his “Carter III” album.

We always just kept in touch and so when I did the [“Ejected”] record, I thought he fit just perfect on there because of the vibe and everything and we got it done.

I went to Miami, went to the studio with him, and we got it done. I also did a verse for him that was on the “Dedication 5,” I think.

Yeah, that was on his mixtape.
