New York rap heavyweight 50 Cent and G-Unit‘s new The Beauty of Independence EP is reportedly set to gather up some impressive units with first-week projections over 10,000.

Despite being released as a free EP, new estimates have the retail version expected to land on the sales chart next week.

As expected, Ariana Grande will top next week’s chart, and Queen Bey may return to the Top 15 following her MTV VMAs performance. Here’s how it looks headed into the weekend: *Ariana Grande (Republic) 150-170k *Brad Paisley (Arista Nashville) 48-53k Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Mix, Vol. 1 (Hollywood) 45-50k * KEM (Motown) 45-50k Sam Smith (Capitol) 28-32k Wiz Khalifa (Atlantic) 23-26k Now 51 (NOW) 23-26k *Avenged Sevenfold (Hopeless) 23-26k Ed Sheeran (Atlantic) 15-17k Iggy Azalea (Grand Hustle/Def Jam) 13-15k *G-Unit (G-Unit) 12-14k (HITS Daily Double)

The unexpected six-track release arrived online Sunday (August 24) evening.

The crew quietly released the new surprise six-track EP The Beauty Of Independence on iTunes. It appears that the newly minted 50 Cent protege Kidd Kidd is now a full-on G-Unit member, but other than that, this is the same core of guys who made Beg For Mercy, and it’s weirdly heartening to see them working together again. Although the Unit had fallen apart in recent years, reunited member Young Buck recently promised his band of brothers were built to win.

“Don’t look for the downfall of G-Unit,” the rapper said. “Cause you’ll be looking for a long God damn time. You understand? But looking for the success of G-Unit you’ll get what you want to see real quick. But looking for the downfall homie you gon’ be stuck…Don’t pray on our downfall or look for it. Look for the success. Look for the good music. Look for the positive energy. And that’s what you gon’ get. Because even if you ain’t looking for it that’s what you gon’ get.” (This Is 50)

Coincidentally, ex-member Game recently admitted he could only applaud Fif’s reuniting effort.

“I saw the picture and really instantly thought that that was cool of him with all the money he got because he don’t need music no more to give [Lloyd] Banks, [Tony] Yayo and definitely [Young] Buck ’cause that’s my partner, the chance to go back out there and do shows, make money. G-Unit, the name, will pack a building. They get to split that up and that was my first and only thought on it.” (“Big Boy’s Neighborhood”)
