G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Winter Album Is Finally Coming [Video]

G.O.O.D. Music’s Kanye West and Big Sean have finally breathed life back into a long-delayed Cruel Winter compilation album.

This week, studio sessions from the rumored album-making sessions have surfaced online.

A few years ago, Kanye affiliate Travi$ Scott talked about the album possibly coming out.

“I’ma come all the way clean man: ‘Ye still go all the way hard about Cruel Winter, so you just never know,” Scott told us of Kanye West’s enthusiasm for G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Summer follow-up when he walked the red carpet for the 2013 BET Awards on June 30. “He might just drop that sh– out of nowhere, man. But he still go hard. “Scott is aware of all of the conflicting reports, but he says he won’t believe the project is dead unless Kanye himself takes it off the table. “Until I hear ‘Ye be like, ‘It’s not coming out’ then that’s when I can say it’s ‘not coming out’ but he still goin’ ham,” he said with confidence. “Maybe it’s not right now, maybe it’s not next year, but you can expect one for sure.” (MTV)

In summer 2013, G.O.O.D Music’s Pusha T said too many individual albums made Cruel Winter an unrealistic release.

“Nah man, we’re not doing the Cruel Winter album or the Cruel Summer sequel,” Pusha revealed in an interview. “There’s too many projects going on. Like I said, you got the Yeezus album, you got Hall of Fame from Big Sean, you got my album, My Name Is My Name, you got 2 Chainz project, like, once we get all that situated, then I’m sure [it might happen]. I mean, you even got Common coming. At this time, right now, we’re not working on no compilations, man.” (Power 88)

A couple weeks prior, G.O.O.D Music’s CyHi The Prynce said the music industry’s business side has kept the project from coming out.

“Ah, Cruel Winter. Well, you know, we’re in negotiations with Def Jam. You know, sometimes they’re extra slow. We’re looking to put it out this year and my next mixtape, I’m trying to do it in the next month or two.” (Blogionista TV)
