Atlanta rapper Future has media outlets speculating on the odds of a new album coming together. The hip-hop star’s recent slaying on various songs including this week’s “Top Off” have generated studio release theories.
A new report suggests Future might really be “this” close to putting out an unexpected LP.
Given that Future populated 2017 with the projects HNDRXX and Super Slimey (with Young Thug), it’s reasonable to expect more new music in 2018. He dropped a big today via Snapchat, previewing new music that includes Drake—with the “Diamonds Dancing,” of course. And as he’s recently wiped his Instagram clean, a ritual that traditionally precedes a new full-length, it most def seems he’s up to something. (HITS Daily Double)
This week, Future flexed his vocals skills on JAY-Z and Beyoncé’s new “Top Off” single.
After teasing its arrival, DJ Khaled has shared a new song featuring JAY-Z, Beyoncé, and Future called “Top Off.” Listen to it below. It appears on his upcoming album, Father of Asahd. Last year, Khaled tapped Jay and Bey for the song “Shining,” which appeared on his album Grateful. The year prior, he collaborated with JAY-Z and Future for the song “I Got the Keys” off his 2016 album Major Key. JAY-Z and Beyoncé recently collaborated on “Family Feud” and its music video (which also starred Blue Ivy). Beyoncé is set to headline Coachella this year. (Pitchfork)
In mid-February, Future slayed in Kendrick Lamar and Jay Rock‘s “King’s Dead” Black Panther The Album video.
A couple months ago, speculation developed about Future putting in work on a much-needed Beast Mode 2 project.
