Atlanta rapper Future and Meek Mill are receiving plenty of retail success right now. The hip-hop stars’ new solo efforts are both projected to land on the sales chart.

Based on initial estimates, Future’s Beastmode 2 should edge Meek’s new Legends of the Summer EP after both dropped Friday.

Future (Freebandz/Epic) 50-60k total activity (streaming only)
Meek Mill (Atlantic) 22-26k, 4-7k album

Meanwhile, Drake continues to dominate Apple Music and Spotify with tracks from his chart-topping, record-breaking YMCMB/Republic set Scorpion, but Future’s latest has begun to infiltrate the various streaming charts. (HITS Daily Double)

On Friday, Future hit up social media to announce his new underground effort’s release.

Future has released a new mixtape called Beastmode 2. The followup to his Beast Mode tape from 2015, the 9-track release was executive produced by Zaytoven and Seth Firkins, who passed away at the end of last year. Beastmode 2 follows two volumes of new Future music for Superfly, the Director X remake of the 1972 blaxploitation film of the same name. Future also recently announced a North American and European tour with Nicki Minaj. (SPIN)
