These shocking shooting details have popped up online…
According to reports, the near-fatal attack went down Monday (September 29) morning.
Quan’s dad, Corey Lamar, was in the barber shop he owns this morning when a man … or men … came in and attempted to rob the place — and during the hold up they opened fire … according to Quan’s rep. We’re told Lamar — who is Quan’s manager — was hit 4 times. He was rushed to a hospital and taken into surgery. We’re told he is in critical condition, but expected to survive. RHQ is at the hospital … waiting for his father to get out of surgery. (TMZ)
Witnesses from the crime scene have already come forward to speak out on the shooting.
Atlanta police say the gunman came in the shop and opened fire. “I heard about three gunshots, and so I saw the guy come out,” said witness Van White. White says he heard the gunshots, saw the gunman and chased after him, but he got away. “He got in a black car, and that’s all I know from there,” White said. (WSB TV)
A few months ago, Quan addressed media frenzy after he was hospitalized for medical complications.
“I just want to thank my fans and everyone who has called concerned about me,” he said. “I want to clear up two things, after being in 3 states in 3 days, up early having to shoot my video for ‘Walk Thru’ and even sleeping in between scenes on top of filming in this humid Atlanta heat, I fainted and hit my head. It’s no secret that I do turn up, I don’t deny that but I’m not addicted to anything including drugs nor was I leaning at the shoot. The media is gonna put fake stories out there but I just want to let my fans know that I’m good and recovering. The second thing is, I promised I will never stop going in and I mean that.” (Billboard)
