Radio veteran Funkmaster Flex turns 53 years old today, and wouldn't have gotten here without the people by his side. He'd probably agree, as the Hot 97 host is always clocking in time with friends in the industry.
From rappers to fellow hosts to whoever, honestly, Funkmaster has friends in high places. Here’s five shots of Flex clocking in bromance goals.
1. W/ The “RAPSTAR”
Funk Flex is always hanging out with some big names, and here’s just another example. In this shot, he’s posting up with none other than “RAPSTAR” Polo G.
2. For The Rooks
Here, Funk Flex is clocking in time with rap rookie EST Gee. He’s part of Yo Gotti’s crew, but it doesn’t hurt to get on Hot 97 in front of a massive audience alongside Flex.
3. Camaro Time
Here, FF is on the hood of a retro Chevrolet Camaro with Detroit rapper 42 Dugg. They are shooting a music video and are both dripped out in swag.
4. RIP King Von
This is a bit of a sad photo. Funkmaster is rocking out with the late King Von on a Hellcat. Unfortunately, Von passed away in Atlanta in November 2020 following a shooting outside of a nightclub.
5. New York Swag
In this shot, Funk Flex is clocking in friendship goals with fellow Big Apple native Fivio Foreign. Perhaps they made some fire here as they’re hanging out in the studio.
