Funk Flex went to Instagram Friday (March 9) to tease fans with a Yachty freestyle preview and promised to deliver the full clip next week.
Me and @lilyachty have bumped heads many times… I called #ChrisGreen phone a week ago and #TheBoat picked up… he said “let’s have an interview” …… I said “I don’t really do interviews BUT you can come get some bars popping?” I didn’t think he would do it.. but he called and said “I’m ready… I’m coming up there” #Freestyle091 DROPS MONDAY 10AM !!!!!!!
Earlier this month, Yachty responded to Flex publicly naming “wack” rappers.

The same day, Dipset’s Juelz Santana publicly co-signed rap mogul Diddy’s heartfelt clip by reposting it onto his IG page.
“So many people rapping right now. I love it. It is literally too much. It’s a lot to take in everyday. Everybody saying the same sh*t in different ways. It’s just my opinion. I’m not knocking nobody’s dream. I just don’t want the culture to get diluted where it gets so mass produced it doesn’t mean anything. Artists have to be special. Every artist has to be unique. I’m just trying to say if you’re going to be in this game be great because you can also be a part of the noise. All you inspiring rappers out there and R&B artists and singers and dancers, keep doing your thing. Be special.”
This week, Atlanta rappers Gucci Mane and Migos celebrated Yachty’s new Lil Boat 2 album release.
