Bad Boy Records’ French Montana is still on cloud nine after becoming an American citizen. The hip-hop star has reflected on living out the American dream.

French went to Instagram last night (June 14) to discuss his life-changing experience.

This week, reports went viral about French waiting over a full year before finally getting his American citizenship.

French got sworn in Wednesday morning in New Jersey. We’re told getting his citizenship was a long process … he applied in February of 2017. In order to become a citizen you have to take the Naturalization Oath of Allegiance and, from the looks of it … French nailed it. The rapper was born and raised in Morocco, but immigrated to the U.S. when he was 13. (TMZ)

Montana hit up his Instagram Story Wednesday (June 13) to announce his US citizenship.

Last year, Montana visited his Morocco, Africa hometown and shared footage across social media.
