Freddie Gibbs Reads Jeezy’s Death Certificate: “I’ma Go Ahead & Kick The N*gga In The Grave”

Midwest rapper Freddie Gibbs is picking up where his recent dicey anti-Jeezy Twitter remarks left off over the weekend by going in on his former boss.

Instead of staying mum, Gibbs dished out his problems with the “Snowman” and explained why Jeezy’s rap prominence is on the decline in a new interview.

“Jeezy, he can’t rap better than me,” Gibbs explained, before comparing Young Jeezy to a washed-up professional basketball player: “That’s why the n*gga was afraid. He wasn’t ready to be in boss mode. He still wanted to be in rapper mode. He’s like a n*gga in the NBA that’s about to retire and [is] on his last leg, while a young n*gga like me is just killing n*gga. I’m like [Indiana Pacers’] Paul George on these n*ggas right now. He’s on his last leg so I’ma go ahead and kick the n*gga in the grave while he’s standing on the edge.” (HHDX)

Gangsta Gibbs relied on Twitter to hint at new music and verbal Jeezy jabs both being on deck last weekend.

“I blow jeezy f kennedy head off one one of these new records. #ESGN,” Gibbs tweeted December 8.

“On 5 all y’all rap n*ggaz don’t want the fade wit Freddie Kane.”

“F*ck all y’all peace treaty a** n*ggaz”

“Undisputed. Underground King. F*ck snow he know where I’m at.”

“Who really want it wit Gangsta Gibbs? #CocainePiñata comin soon”

“#ESGN vs Everybody,” (Freddie Gibbs’ Twitter)

Last June, Gibbs admitted he did not have any regrets over blasting his former employer and spoke on the repercussions he had dealt with ever since.

“I started seein’ the fake and the empty promises and all of that stuff and I just didn’t wanna be around that no more,” he said. “It’s tough meetin’ your heroes sometimes and kickin’ with them because when they take that cape off, boy o’ boy under that cape, sometimes it’s some scary lil’ boy hidin’ under that cape. … Yeah, death threats. Hey man, I know it hurts you to hear your favorite rapper’s a fraud. It ain’t my fault.” (MTV)

Gibbs raised eyebrows earlier the same week when asked about Jeezy’s support during his run at CTE.

“F*ck no. Anything he tells you, it’s going to be fake. I am going to give you the real. He gonna give you the sugarcoated version. That’s the difference between me and him. He gonna give you the sugarcoated sh*t, I am going to give you the real. At first, when that whole split happened, I was being political about it. I was thinking, ‘Man, I don’t want to f*ck up my relationship.’ But f*ck that sh*t, my n*gga. I’m feeding the whole city. That n*gga don’t do sh*t for me. I am going to point a n*gga out when he bogus and he was bogus for not owing up to his business relationship and doing what he was supposed to do business-wise. Like I said, I never needed the n*gga to do nothing for me, but do what you said what you were gonna do. You don’t hold true to your word, I don’t respect you. So I don’t respect no n*gga that don’t hold true to his word. All that sh*t you rapping; I don’t respect none of that sh*t.” (XXL Mag)

In February, Freddie admitted he did not share the same vision as the “Snowman.”

“I can’t really say it was amicable. I could just say that we agreed to disagree. We definitely disagreed. The guy moves in a different way that I move, and I just wanted to branch out and do my own thing. I felt like I was wasting time pushing someone else’s brand when I could push my own and do my own thing. Because that’s was what he was concerned with, pushing Jeezy. So I gotta be concerned with pushing Gibbs.” (“The Morning Riot”)
