Performing at Brooklyn’s Southpaw venue, Gibbs taunted Lil B and disassociated their music from one another.

“No f*ck sh*t. This ain’t no Lil B Based God or no f*cking f*ggot sh*t like that up here,” Freddie told fans at a Southpaw Brooklyn show April 27th. “What the f*ck you thought this was? N*gga this is real rap. N*gga. Based God get the f*ck outta here n*gga.” (YouTube)

Following the show, Freddie later hopped on Twitter to tell fans he is not actively involved in any rap beefs.

“I don’t have beef wit nobody, I just have an opinion, and ain’t none of y’all keyboard gangstaz gon approach me about it in person. Thanks.,” he tweeted Thursday (April 28). (Freddie Gibbs’ Twitter)

Earlier this month, Gibbs weighed in on Lil B’s upcoming I’m Gay album title.

“[The] Lil B sh*t was funny at first but now I feel like it’s just a bunch of white people laughing at a n*gga, like a minstrel show. Sh*t is wack. I ain’t dissin’ gays, if you gay that’s yo biz.” (XXL Mag)

Around mid-April, Gibbs broke the news of signing to Young Jeezy’s Corporate Thugz Entertainment.

“It feels good,” Freddie told DJ Smallz in an interview. “It’s always good to work with people that you respect and people you have mutual respect for. I bump Jeezy. I think he carved his own lane in the game and that’s what I’m trying to do. And what better way to elevate myself to the next level than doing it with somebody that I admire and respect. The situation with CTE, Jeezy, it felt correct…This is a long process for myself, but, I went with the gut feeling instead of just going with all the impulse and signing with someone just because they’re hot or some sh*t like that. I ain’t wanna be a d*ckrider because I see a lot of that in the game right now. So I just wanted to do things my way.” (“Southern Smoke Radio”)
