Former CTE artist Freddie Gibbs is reminding the world he still has issues with one-time boss Jeezy by taking direct aim at him on his new "Real" track.

Gibbs unleashed his anti-Jeezy record to the masses Wednesday (March 12).

Today, Gibbs shares the studio cut of the track with fans, and the so-called ‘snowman killa’ proves he is out for blood. Showcasing his wordplay on the first verse before cutting to the chase on the second, “Real” is – if nothing else – another strong entry in Gibbs’ record collection. It may be hard to think about that when you’re laughing and gasping at the shade thrown toward Jeezy on the back half of the track, but even when he’s being vicious Gibbs is still a pro at crafting memorable singles. Freddie raised eyebrows a few days ago after performing “Real” during a Chicago show.

When he performed the new song “Real” in Chicago last week, he had some scathing words for Jeezy, referencing his beef with Gucci Mane and his scuffle with Rick Ross backstage at 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards. Though it’s difficult to understand every word in the video footage, there are a few lines you can hear pretty clearly, beginning with, “You wanna be Jay Z, n—a you just a f—g puppet.” “You say you’re the realest, but Ross had you scared to drop a diss record,” Gibbs spits, “You had the whole team looking weak, I guess that’s why they ran up on you at BET.” (I Want Pop)

Earlier this winter, Gibbs dished out his problems with the “Snowman” and explained why Jeezy’s rap prominence was on the decline.

“Jeezy, he can’t rap better than me,” Gibbs explained, before comparing Young Jeezy to a washed-up professional basketball player: “That’s why the n*gga was afraid. He wasn’t ready to be in boss mode. He still wanted to be in rapper mode. He’s like a n*gga in the NBA that’s about to retire and [is] on his last leg, while a young n*gga like me is just killing n*gga. I’m like [Indiana Pacers’] Paul George on these n*ggas right now. He’s on his last leg so I’ma go ahead and kick the n*gga in the grave while he’s standing on the edge.” (HHDX)

Last June, Gibbs admitted he did not have any regrets over blasting his former employer and spoke on the repercussions he had dealt with ever since.

“I started seein’ the fake and the empty promises and all of that stuff and I just didn’t wanna be around that no more,” he said. “It’s tough meetin’ your heroes sometimes and kickin’ with them because when they take that cape off, boy o’ boy under that cape, sometimes it’s some scary lil’ boy hidin’ under that cape. … Yeah, death threats. Hey man, I know it hurts you to hear your favorite rapper’s a fraud. It ain’t my fault.” (MTV)
